My part of the site tends to specialise on some of the more technical aspects of my hobbies and interests, these include :-
Model aircraft
In the model aircraft section I review some of my recent models including the West Wings Orion electric soarer ('Aerobat'), Hirobo XRB micro-helicopter and the Protech Butterfly ultra-light indoor R/C model. I also describe some of my own design aircraft. There is also selection of hints and tips I have picked up over the years.
Model boats
I raced a radio controlled yacht (R36R class) with the Woodbridge model boat club for many years. I describe how I built my own sail winch and applied model aircraft technology to the boat.
Canal boats
Most of our adventures on the canals are recorded in Canals@rigdenage.
Cycling
The section on cycling incudes Terry Talks Technical, a series of articles on bicycle maintenance, previously published in the Colchester Cycling Campaign newsletter.
Model trains
Not a current interest but for those of you into 009 models of Welsh narrow guage lines I describe my model of the Welspool and Llanfair Light Railway
I've tried not to make this a total ego trip and make it sort of interesting (if you share my interests that is).
