5 oz margarine
4 oz raw sugar
2 oz syrup or honey
4 oz wholemeal flour
3 oz oats
2 oz coconut
1 tsp bicarb
2 oz chocolate chips and/or broken walnuts
Melt marg, sugar, and syrup together in a pan, and leave to cool slightly.
Meanwhile, mix together dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the melted mixture to the dry ingredients and blend well. Let cool, then mix in the chocolate chips. Form into 1/2 oz balls, and flatten onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 180°C/Mk 5/375°F for 10-12 minutes, remove promptly from tray and cool on a rack.
